Cape + Pencil Skirt

Olivia Pope has taken the fashion industry by storm over the past 3 years and she has invoked a fashion trend with fashionable capes. They are so versatile and are very popular in various forms. There are tops, dresses, and jackets. For these reasons, a cape is the perfect item to add to the closet to add a stylish sophistication to one’s wardrobe.

I paired the Madeline Dotted  Zip Cape from Fashion to Figure with a wet-look pencil skirt from Ashley Stewart, black patent leather pumps from Aldo Shoes via DSW, and silver accessories from Traci Lynn, Charming Charlie’s, and the Rocksbox. This look was created when my church was having a fashion show for Women’s Day. I was asked to model for my age group. I was wondering what would be age appropriate and conservative enough for church but still trendy.  I created two looks that can go from church to work or work to a night out on the town.

The texture of the wet-look skirt definitely is an attention grabber for those who wish to accentuate their legs or their assets while keeping it classy. The leather from the shoes show that you mean business.

This look has definitely gotten me in the holiday spirit. So Ladies, until next time, I hope you like this full-filled sample of the Cape.

  2. Ashlee, it's my friend hat and she gave it to me. She said rainbow or somewhere like that but earlier in the year.
