Why is Resort Wear so hard to find off season?

Ladies, have you ever planned a tropical getaway for the Winter season AND had a hard time finding something that fits your style? Well for the past two years, I have been a part of that hassle. Planning trips to a tropical destination for the middle of December can be a total headache. Why a headache? Resort wear is typically released in February and on deep clearance by July resulting in a total mess when you decide to plan a trip for the latter part of the year. Ladies, fear no more. I have found the perfect brand to help ease the frustrations when planning your vacations. No matter if you are in season or not, RUE107 is a one-stop shop.

Rue107 is a New York-based brand that is known for their whimsical and colorful prints. Rue107 is also a brand that is semi-size inclusive for all of their designs. Their clothing ranges from small to 4X. In addition to being semi-inclusive, Rue 107 also gives you a fit guide. The fit guide will let you know if the sizing is true-to-size, if you should size down, or even up. What I love most about their product details here is the picture of a straight size and curvy model for most pieces.

For my trip to Cabo, I shopped the Rue107 sale where I scored the Harlem Top and Pants. Per the size guide, I sized up and the fit was perfect. This set was perfect for Cabo as it served as a cover up and an outfit for a night out. Keeping the Harlem Set simple, I wore a swim suit under neath with a pair of mirrored sunnies and gold ankle tie sandals. In addition to this look, I altered the Harlem Pants by cutting off a good 5 inches off the length for a more tailored look. Flawless.

As neons are my favorite, I choose the Chantel Jumpsuit and Bikini set in Neon Green. This jumpsuit is just perfect for any tropical destination. With a sheer silhouette, the Chantel can be worn as a coverup to your favorite swimsuit, shape-wear, or even a sport bra with biker shorts. The Chantel comes with a matching bikini to layer under as well. I will be honest ladies, the bikini is not functional at all. The bottoms have a nice double layer of protection in the front but not the back panel. The bikini top is very very short with no shape or structure to it. The bikini is strictly for the visual aesthetics. The Chantel is also tall girl friendly as I altered the jumpsuit by 6 inches to have a length that was ideal for my 5'6" frame.

Ladies, I know these pieces may be a little risky for some, but do not worry. Rue107 has other pieces as well. The Raindrop Stripes set and the Jamie set will be great options as well. Ladies, have you heard of Rue107? If so, what pieces have your tried or been eyeing? I can't wait to hear your thoughts.
