Business Casual Inspired

There are times that I miss my corporate work setting. Mostly, I miss business casual Fridays. I remember being excited for Fridays as it was a way to show off my personal style with my denim while looking polished.  Now, my days consist of wearing a middle school’s logo t-shirt with denim jeans two to three days out of a week. No matter your profession, don’t sacrifice your style.

If you struggle to add flair to a casual dress code, well struggle no more. There are some quick and easy steps to
add your style to any outfit. If you’re a denim-lover, pick a trend that you love and find accessories to incorporate into your denim. If you are a risk-taker,
add a trendy top and accessories to your denim look to create the ultimate business casual look for you. This may seem like you’re breaking the unwritten biz cas rules, but toss that rule book in the trash. Let’s make 2018 about wearing what makes us happy. Wear what make us feel empowered as women.
When planning this look, I wanted to create a trendy look that an educator or business professional could wear on casual Friday. First, I started with the base piece of the look. The pearl trend made a major impact last year and I realllllly hope it stays around for a while. The Pearl Embellished Jean. The Pearl Embellished Jean is a skinny jean with the pearl embellishments. The fit of the jeans are great. If you are in-between sizes, I would recommend you size down as the jean has 1% stretch.
I paired the Striped Puff Sleeve Top with the embellished jeans for a pop of contrast. Nothing is more powerful in a
look than a medium sized striped top to bring the eye in to the center to focus the look. I love the Striped Puff
Sleeve Top as it is a great piece to style casual or dressy. The fit of the top is as expected for ELOQUII. Due to my fruit salad shape, a top with a longer length, such as a tunic, would be preferred.
If you all know me, I have to add a pop of color. What better color to add than red? I remember a time when
I would not wear red at all. For various reasons, I just did not like the color as a kid and did not desire anything red. It is funny how times have changed over the years.
The Ruffle Sleeve Zip Up Blazer was the perfect piece to bring red back into my life. Adding the Ruffle Sleeve
Blazer created the perfect business casual look while incorporating three trends.
To polish the look up, I paired the look with the Ratingen fringe earrings from Aldo and a classic black patent leather pump from Aldo. (Old)
Ladies, what are some trends that you wear on casual friday to the office? I would love to hear from you.
Until next time, I hope you enjoyed this sample.
